A human-carrying drone project required a structural canopy that could deliver high strength and load-bearing capability without adding excessive weight. The challenge was to develop a lightweight composite structure capable of supporting demanding lifting requirements.

Conducted R&D and designed the drone canopy

3D printed base structure (~16 kg) in PLA

Applied carbon fibre layering (~2 kg) over the structure

Developed a strong and lightweight composite canopy

Enabled drone lifting capacity up to 200 kg
